my summer 2024 bucket list
the recipe for a perfect summer growing up called for: seeing family every weekend, a visit to confederation “wild waterworks” waterpark, 1 road trip across the border to buffalo, new york for a back-to-school wardrobe, and 1 (overly ambitious) summer buck list.
every year, my cousin chelsea and i would make a list of all the things we wanted to do before the summer ended. we didn’t live near each other (actually we did but we were children with no driver’s license and no concept of direction) and a summer bucket list was our way of getting the most out of our summer sleepovers.
recently on tiktok, the idea of creating a summer bucket list has blown up. history and trends really do repeat itself because are we back in the 2010s ?? seeing everyone and their mother creating a summer bucklet list has inspired me to get back to my childhood roots and put pen to paper (literally made a note in my notes app) and create a summer 2024 bucket list.
unlike being 12 years old, naïve, broke, and with no concept of time, at 24 i actually wanted my summer bucket list to be attainable. so here goes - hello summer, and come along with me as i try to knock all 15 things off my bucket list before summer ends.
