OVERVIEW

Tasked with creating a 10-15 second looping animation beginning and ending with a 2D 250 x 250 px black square in the centre of a white background. The storyline of the animation was open ended but must follow a three act story structure; setup, confrontation, and resolution. The animation starts with the black square transitioning into a fish tank with a single fish swimming around. The fish sees the ocean through a window and plans its escape to freedom. The fish continuously tries to swim towards the ocean but repeatedly hits the glass of the tank. The fish notices the opening of the tank and attempts to jump out towards the ocean. The fish jumps out of the tank only to fall directly into a smaller fish bowl on a shelf below it. The small fish bowl transitions to a black square to conclude the animation.
